Groundnut oil is a vegetable oil extracted from groundnuts. This oil has up to 57% of monounsaturated fat, and up to 25% polyunsaturated fat. Groundnut oil has a high smoke point of about 450°F (230°C). This makes it high-heat resistant and is best suited for Indian cooking like sauteing, frying, and baking. It has a good flavor and aroma.
